because i feel like mens sports are more fast past than womens sports and i feel like most people that attend the games love the thrill of watching the high past action compared to the slower not as exciting as womens sports

a lot of people even today view women as a lesser group, and the lack of violence and physical competition makes it less interesting to some.

I think wemen's sports don't draw as much attention as as men's sports because the games are always more intense when men play them. For example, Baseball is a lot faster than softball just because it's more intense. Also, men have been playing it longer, so that makes me feel like it's just a normal thing to do is to watch men pay baseball + football.

I believe men's sporting events draw bigger crowds than compared to girl's sporting events mostly because the idea of the entire thing. Men watching women play sports sounds somewhat feminine and they don't want to have that feminine aspect. Also because one of the most famous sports to watch is football and the NFL and College Football is really the only football that is watched on television and that is all men. Girls sports don't draw bigger crowds than men's because I believe we are not yet to that point in society where it does not matter how "manly" it is. Plus, I personally believe it's just not as fun to watch girls sports compared to guys sports, with girls softball being the only exception.

You bring up a good point. I didn't think about how men would think about themselves after watching a female's sporting event. I do have to say, though, that people go to high school events, without thinking of themselves as feminists.

Women's sports don't draw crowds like men's sports because there aren't as many "big plays," like in basketball for example. There are some women that can dunk, but you won't see a 360 windmill dunk. It's a much faster paced game with men, also, there is a higher level of physical play. This is just a quick summary of what draws attention to men rather than women.

InstructionsIt's really quite simple. Each week, I will post a question to the blog, and you will respond to it by commenting (100+ words). You will also gently question other students and respond to their questions to you. See the syllabus for more information about the expectations. I will give you examples of adequate responses in class. Archives
